Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a gentle, natural, and effective way to facilitate healing from narcissistic abuse, which is traumatizing on every level: body, mind, and spirit. It utilizes essential oils – naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants – to balance, harmonize, and promote holistic health.

Essential oils can be used individually, or combined to create synergistic blends to address specific individual concerns. Essential oils can be diffused into the air, or applied to the skin (with a carrier oil)*.

Some essential oils that are especially effective for trauma recovery include lavender, neroli, bergamot, vetiver, and myrrh.

Healing from narcissistic abuse involves re-learning to stay centered in the present. Victims of abuse are very frequently subjected to distressing intrusive memories and flashbacks, and essential oils are very effective in helping victims to overcome this.

Calming & Centering Blend

*When using any essential oil on the skin, always make sure it is diluted in a carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil or grapeseed oil at a 1-2 percent dilution (approximately 12-15 drops per ounce/30ml). Avoid eye area. Though it is rare, on occasion some essential oils can cause an allergic reaction. If you experience redness, or signs of an allergic reaction, contact your healthcare provider.
